UCHealth Visitation policy due to COVID-19 coronavirus

For the safety of our patients, providers and staff, we are accepting one visitor or support person per 24-hour period.

We ask all patients and visitors to wear their own personal masks into our health care facilities to help protect you and our staff during your visit. Any type of surgical or cloth mask from home is fine.

All visitors will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 before being allowed to enter. If a visitor shows signs or symptoms of COVID-19, they will not be allowed to enter the building unless they are seeking care.

Exceptions to the Visitor Policy:

  • No visitors or support persons for patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who are awaiting COVID-19 test results.
  • No visitors under the age of 16.
  • In the NICU: two parents or guardians accepted per 24-hour period.
  • Maternity: OB patients who have tested negative for COVID-19 are allowed two visitors or support persons for the duration of their admission. OB patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 are allowed one support person. Doula providers are welcome and are considered one of the support persons.
  • ED/clinics/surgeries/procedures: one support person.
  • Minors who are patients: one parent or guardian may stay with minor.
  • End-of-life exception on a case-by-case basis.

Para la seguridad de nuestros pacientes, los profesionales de salud y nuestros empleados, a partir del 11 de mayo de 2020, aceptamos un visitante o una persona de apoyo cada 24 horas. 

Pedimos que todos los pacientes y visitas usen sus propias mascarillas para entrar a nuestras instalaciones de atención médica con el fin de proteger a usted y nuestro personal durante su visita. Cualquier tipo de mascarilla, quirúrgicas o de tela, que tengan en casa está bien.

Todos los visitantes serán evaluados para detectar síntomas de COVID-19 antes de poder entrar. Los visitantes que tienen indicios o síntomas de COVID-19, no serán permitidos entrar, a menos que estén buscando atención médica.

Excepciones a la política para visitantes:

  • Pacientes que han resultado positivos a la prueba de COVID-19 o están en espera de los resultados de la prueba, no pueden recibir visitas o personas de apoyo.
  • No se permiten visitantes menores de 16 años.
  • En la UCIN: se permiten dos padres o tutores legales cada 24 horas.
  • Unidad de maternidad: una persona de apoyo cada 24 horas.
  • En la sala de emergencias/clínicas/quirófanos/salas de procedimiento: una persona de apoyo.
  • Pacientes que son menores de edad: un padre/madre o tutor legal puede permanecer con el menor de edad.
  • Excepciones para los pacientes en fase terminal: según el caso.
