The information listed in the shoppable services and all services price list (together the “Federally Required Transparency Data”) are published pursuant to federal law and regulation. If you are insured, UCHealth strongly encourages you to consult with your health insurance company to understand the amount you may owe. We also encourage you to use the Cost Estimates Tool on My Health Connection, visit the Billing estimates page, or contact the UCHealth Patient Estimates Team at 877.349.8520 for an estimate of your costs and out-of-pocket responsibility.
The Federally Required Transparency Data is based on information we have gathered from our claims and insurance payment files. It is not a guarantee of what you will be charged or what you will owe. Your actual charges will be based off of the facility’s chargemaster and depend on the care that was actually provided to you. The actual charges may differ from the information in the Federally Required Transparency Data for many reasons, including, but not limited to, the seriousness of your medical condition, the actual duration of your care, the services and supplies you actually receive, any complications you may have, and additional tests or procedures your providers order. If you have insurance, your insurance benefits will ultimately determine the amount you owe to the facility (including deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums).
The Federal Price Transparency Data only includes the fees charged by providers who are employed by the facilities. Usually, physicians at UCHealth-affiliated hospitals are not employed by the hospitals. The Federal Price Transparency Data specifically identifies when employed physician charges are included. There may be other non-employed providers involved in your care whose charges are not included. That may include, but is not limited to, providers like anesthesiologists, pathologists, radiologists and surgical assistants.
Neither UCHealth nor any of its facilities, affiliates or subsidiaries are liable for any difference between charges between the information contained in the Federal Price Transparency Data and your bills.
You may be eligible for financial assistance under the facility’s Financial Assistance Policy. Please visit our Financial Assistance page to learn more about our program and how to apply.
