“I use a multifaceted approach with each patient,” said Dr. Mahaffey. “I involve family and consider social interests, physical goals, activities of daily living and emotional needs to help individuals get back to their life.”

Dr. Mahaffey is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and completed her residency at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She earned her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences in California. Prior to joining University of Colorado Health, Dr. Mahaffey practiced physical medicine and rehabilitation for two years in Boise, Idaho.

The board-certified physicians of UCHealth Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provide experience in the diagnoses and treatment of injuries and illnesses that affect how a person moves. Whether the medical issues are related to areas of the nerve, muscle, bone or brain, they work to decrease pain and enhance motion performance without surgery.
