The UCHealth App is a one-stop shop for everything patients need.

“The app has a lot more to offer than the online patient portal,” Matt Andazola, a UCHealth manager for experience, innovation and best practice.

In addition to providing access to health records, immunizations, test results, appointment information and doctors’ notes, the app does much more, he said.

“On the app, we have a lot of content from uchealth.org and UCHealth Today with information about general health and wellness, recipes, and other information,” Andazola said.

And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, ask Livi.

“At the very top is our virtual assistant, Livi, and you can ask questions about how to navigate the app in English and in Spanish. She has access to your health records. She can find information or refill a medication.”

Here are the UCHealth app features that make it one of the most useful apps you’ll have on your phone.

Check your health records

Health records are all in one place so you can see when you had a visit or treatment or test in the past. You can get test results, messages from your provider and messages about upcoming appointments.

Show proof of vaccination

The app keeps track of your Covid-19 status. It records your immunizations and boosters and you can use it for proof of vaccination if you are traveling or otherwise need it. It also displays your latest COVID-19 test results.

Add family members to your profile

You can add family members, such as a spouse, child or aging parent to your account so you can easily help them manage their care. All requests go through a quick and efficient approval process.

You also can easily appoint an advocate to make medical decisions on your behalf if you’re unable to. Advance Care Planning tools within the app allow you to not only name that person but complete your electronic Medical Durable Power of Attorney form and add information about your health care wishes.

Schedule an appointment

Schedule an appointment with your current provider or use the “who else could I see sooner?”  function to find another provider in your clinic. You can schedule your annual physical some months in advance. Availability varies by clinic and provider, but the options are right there in front of you, Andazola said.

You also can cancel and change appointments via the app up to 24 hours before your appointment.

Virtual visits with a provider also can be scheduled via the app.

Getting a cost estimate for some procedures and visits

"Find your way" tool within the UCHealth app helps you get to your appointment and navigate the health care facility.

The app offers a price estimate tool that will tell you approximately how much your visit will cost. Price availability depends on the procedure, the clinic and the provider as well as your insurance.

Update insurance information and pay your bill

If your insurance changes, you can take a picture of your new card and easily upload it to the app. You also can schedule a payment or set up a payment plan for UCHealth bills.

Seeing medications and refilling prescriptions

On the medication page of the UCHealth app, see all your medications and refill any prescription at a UCHealth pharmacy. You can also find a UCHealth pharmacy close to you and add it to your pharmacy list in My Health Connection.

‘Find your way’ in and around hospitals

“Find Your Way” is a feature that allows you to search for and navigate to any UCHealth facility using your location, and even how to find your way around indoors at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora – a massive complex where it can be easy to get lost.

The app offers maps to find Emergency and Urgent Care locations and UCHealth pharmacies near your current location.

“It’s all in one place” Andazola said.
