Michelle Cederberg

In today’s always-on culture, it’s harder than ever to stay focused, productive and energized without burning out. In an engaging, yet practical session, Michelle Cederberg will teach you how to reduce overwhelm, manage distractions and reset the habits that keep you stuck in “busy mode,” so you can prioritize what matters most and show up with more clarity and consistency.

Michelle Cederberg is a Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame inductee, author, coach and consultant who blends humor with science to help people harness the physical, mental and emotional capacity we each have within us so we can cultivate a sustainable and high-performance lifestyle. With more than 20 years of global speaking experience and a background in kinesiology and psychology, she equips audiences with strategies they can use immediately at work and in life.

Mechelle Lewis Freeman

Mechelle, a three-time Olympic gold-winning coach at the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Games and a 2008 USA Olympian, is a seasoned expert in building high-performing teams. After earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in integrated marketing communications from the University of South Carolina, she managed advertising and marketing accounts for global brands before pursuing her Olympic dream as an elite athlete and coach. She served as the USA Track and Field National Teams Women’s Relays Coach from 2015–2024, leading her teams to record-breaking and medal-winning performances. Mechelle is also the founder of TrackGirlz, a nonprofit organization supporting girls’ mental, physical and social development through track and field empowerment programs.

Abby Gustaitis

Abby began playing rugby at age 19 while attending the University of Maryland. In addition to her playing career, she coached at Georgetown Visitation Rugby and the Women’s U.S. Naval Academy. A one-time Olympian, she represented Team USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where the team finished sixth. She also competed at the 2018 World Championship, helping the U.S. Women’s Team to a fourth-place finish, their top result in her World Championship appearance. In 2020, she became a certified 500-hour Pilates instructor and now teaches part-time, sharing her passion for health and wellness with others.

Samantha Schultz

Samantha is a 2021 Tokyo Olympian in the sport of Modern Pentathlon (fencing, swimming, equestrian, shooting and running). She joined the U.S. Army in 2017 and competed as a part of the World Class Athlete Program throughout her time in active duty. Samantha completed her bachelor’s degree in business while training as a full-time athlete and serving in the U.S. Army. Not only is she a Tokyo Olympian, she is a seven-time U.S. National champion, a Pan American Games Silver and Gold medalist and a multiple world and national team member in the sport of pentathlon. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates and yoga instructor, strength and conditioning coach and running coach.

Light breakfast will take place from 8–9 a.m. and will include: granola yogurt parfaits, fresh melon and berry skewers , mini-protein bites, egg bites, coffee, hot tea and water.

Light lunch will take place from 11 a.m.–12:20 p.m. and will include: assorted small wraps and salads, iced tea and fruit-infused water.

Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to the Stockyards Events Center?

The event will be at the Stockyards Event Center at the National Western Center. There are multiple buildings and construction on the campus, look for evrē signage. Google Maps or Waze is the preferred method of GPS location.

Where do I park? Does it cost to park?

Parking is free for all attendees. Primary parking is located directly next to the Stockyards Event Center. Please be sure to follow the signage with the evrē logo to the designated parking lots. Parking attendants will be present to help guide traffic.

Where do I enter the Stockyards Events Center for evrē?

You will be entering the facility through the main doors off of the primary parking lot. There will be signage and staff directing you from the parking lot and greeting you at the door.

What is appropriate attire for the event?

Attendees are welcome to wear athleisure attire for working out/practicing yoga. Even if you do not plan to participate in any of the fitness classes or yoga sessions, you are still encouraged to come in comfortable, relaxed attire. As temperatures can be cooler inside the Stockyards Event Center due to the extremely large space/high ceilings, bringing layers is recommended (e.g., fleece jacket, warm up jacket, vest).

What if the weather that day is cold and snowy? Will I be able to put a coat somewhere?

Yes. Attendees will be able to store coats as needed inside the Stockyards Event Center at the complimentary coat check.

Will there be changing rooms if I want to change after a fitness class?

Yes, you will have access to various restrooms to change if desired.

What do I need to bring?

  • Have your Blackthorn ticket available (either visible on your cell phone, in a confirmation email, or hard copy print out)
  • Bring your signed waiver for check in (we also will have waivers on hand if you need one)
  • Wear appropriate apparel & footwear if you are participating in fitness classes (for yoga you can remove your shoes)
  • Bring a yoga mat if you plan to participate in any fitness classes. Yoga mats will not be provided.
  • Some of the drop-in vendors will have items for sale, so you may want to bring a wallet/purse

Your registration fee covers all fitness classes, main stage presentations, drop-in demos, assessments, chair massages, one free health screening (either biometric screen or other), food and refreshments throughout the morning.

How long will the event last?

The doors open at 8:00 a.m. and the event will conclude at 1:30 p.m. You are welcome to tailor your morning/your stay based on your interests and availability. Please see the event schedule on the event website.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

Yes. If you plan to participate in any fitness classes, we kindly ask you to bring your own mat. We will not have mats available to borrow or use.

Can I bring my children? Is there childcare?

This event is for adult women (18 and up). There are no childcare services at the Stockyards Events Center so please make arrangements accordingly.

I am currently breastfeeding my baby. Is there a location to pump while I’m at the event?

Yes. There is a Mother’s Room located in the main entry hallway, behind check-in. There is a refrigerator in the room that you are welcome to utilize or bring your own bring a small cooler/cold pack to store your milk.

Will there be food/beverages available?

Yes. Light offerings (including vegan and gluten-free options) for breakfast, snacking and lunch will be available throughout the event so you can grab and go and enjoy in the lounge area. Juices, tea, and coffee will also be available. All food and beverage are included in your registration.

Can I bring my own water bottle?

Yes, we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle, and you can refill at water dispensers located around the venue.

What kind of screenings will be available?

  • UCHealth Healthy Hearts will be providing one complimentary Biometric Screen OR Lab Test to each attendee as part of your registration fee. Additional tests will be available for purchase. You can select from the list below:
    • Biometric Screen (lipid panel, blood pressure, body mass index, heart/stroke/diabetes assessments)
    • A1C test (pre-diabetes test/blood glucose)
    • TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone/test for thyroid problems)
    • HS-CRP (predicts risk of heart disease)
    • Creatinine (measures chemical waste produced in the blood)
    • Iron test (assesses iron stores in the body)
    • Vitamin D test (indicates health of bones, muscles, nerves, immune system)
  • Stroke Risk Assessment

What kind of vendors will be on site?

A variety of boutiques, fitness studios, health foods, home goods will be onsite in the vendor village. Please see our website for more information.
