The Center for Personalized Medicine in partnership with CU School of Medicine, CU Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Colorado.
The goal of personalized medicine is to choose the right treatments for each patient based on their unique genetic makeup. By studying genetic information and health records from a large and diverse group of people enrolled in the biobank, researchers may find new ways to detect, treat and even prevent disease.

UCHealth’s focus on behavioral health will provide earlier detection and treatment for patients with substance use and mood disorders, access to new addiction treatment services, and will remove barriers by providing the right care at the right time.

We delivered over 120,000 babies in the previous 10 years.
UCHealth hospitals delivered approximately 15,033 babies in from July 2022 to July 2023.
Yampa Valley Medical Center created a virtual tour of the birth center at YVMC. Many expectant parents take an in-person tour; however, when winter weather or a pandemic doesn’t allow for that, this virtual option allows patients, as well as their families, to see where their little one will enter the world.
Through the UCHealth Postpartum Home Visit Program, UCHealth nurses in northern Colorado make home visits to see Medicaid-covered new moms about four to six days after they have given birth.

UCHealth provides $1.2 billion in community benefits.
UCHealth is Colorado’s largest provider of Medicaid services, with 53% more Medicaid hospital care than the next largest provider, including $568 million caring for uninsured or underinsured patients and $385 million contributing to the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
