UCHealth is committed to the values of respect, fairness, compassion and understanding for our patients, employees and communities.
The health system is guided by an action plan that promotes a culture and work environment where all team members can be their authentic selves, be respected, feel a sense of belonging, practice allyship and feel physically and psychologically safe.
In recent months, UCHealth has established regional inclusion committees, provided individual training for 28,000 employees to promote a respectful and engaging environment, and recruited a chief diversity officer and a medical director for health equity to ensure that kindness and fairness is at the forefront of all interaction.
UCHealth, with 12 hospitals and 150 clinic locations, researches and identifies health care disparities experienced by specific groups of patients and delivers resources to address patients’ social determinants of health such as social, cultural and economic barriers. The plan creates a structure to actively seek, understand and address sources of bias in clinical care, and much more.
