Women's care services
Contraception
We offer contraceptive management with a wide variety of options including Mirena, Skyla & Paragard IUD’s, and Nexplanon. We are happy to prescribe birth control pills, patches, rings and shots.
Pregnancy
We will follow your pregnancy from your confirmation visit up to your 6-week postpartum visit.
For OB patients requiring a C-section, our physicians and surgical staff will ensure a “natural” C-section experience at UCHealth Birth Center- Yampa Valley Medical Center. New moms will have the opportunity to bond and have skin-to-skin contact while still in the operating room.
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center also offers a level II nursery, which means if a baby is doing well enough following a premature birth, they may be able to stay in Steamboat Springs if they are born after 32 weeks. We are able to keep complicated pregnancies close to home.
Yampa Valley Medical Center also has a lactation specialist available for new moms 24/7 in addition to our Lactation Club and childbirth classes.
Infertility testing
UCHealth Women’s Care Clinic – Craig offers a wide variety of infertility testing for patients. We offer follicle studies, lining checks and intrauterine insemination. We work closely with your reproductive endocrinologist when needed.
