Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Early diagnosis and treatment is the key to managing your COPD. Our providers are here and ready to offer you a prompt and thorough evaluation, along with care catered to your unique situation. This care may include smoking cessation, medications, oxygen, pulmonary rehab and other outpatient options. Our goal is to maximize your quality of life.

Interstitial lung disease

Interstitial lung diseases vary greatly, but all involve scarring and inflammation in the lung. Our collaborative team of pulmonologists, rheumatologists, thoracic radiologists and thoracic pathologists, among others, are here to treat all of those medical conditions. We offer a comprehensive and personalized approach to your care, including:

UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital is designated as a Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center network site. PF Care Centers have the necessary resources and specialized staff to fully manage the disease, as well as a multidisciplinary approach to provide the most comprehensive patient care. Experts in pulmonology, rheumatology, radiology, pathology, and nursing specializing in interstitial lung disease comprise the care team at each PF Care Center.

Interventional pulmonology

Interventional Pulmonology (IP) performs minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat lung problems.

Our IP team uses state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat respiratory conditions in a minimally invasive way to decrease discomfort, complications and overall recovery time in one of the top academic medical centers in the country.

Our team uses a unique multidisciplinary approach. Specialists such as pulmonologists, oncologists, ear, nose and throat and thoracic surgeons meet every week to discuss treatments for every one of our patients.
