GREELEY, Colo. (Oct. 1, 2018) – UCHealth already has filled more than a quarter of the 378 new staff positions being created at UCHealth Greeley Hospital when it opens next year.

The first hires included all director positions and several manager and supervisor positions, according to Marilyn Schock, president of the hospital. There are approximately 285 positions left to fill, she added.

“We get to build a team and a culture from the ground up, which is exciting,” Schock said. “The type of person we want to join this team is someone who has an intense passion to improve lives and provide an excellent experience for our patients and visitors.”

Many of the current available job opportunities are posted on UCHealth’s careers page at careers.uchealth.org. At this time, those include:

  • Interventional technologists
  • Diagnostic medical sonographers
  • Obstetrical technicians

Anyone who is interested in an open position should first register at uchealthgreeley.com. A UCHealth recruiter will contact qualified candidates to schedule interviews. Some of the candidates who have registered online already will be participating in UCHealth’s first interview event Tuesday in Greeley.

Additional job opportunities at the hospital – including positions with food and nutrition, sterile processing and environmental services – will be posted later this fall and in early 2019. Anyone who is interested in those positions is encouraged to register online now to get into the system.

Crews have been building the UCHealth Greeley Campus southwest of the intersection of U.S. 34 and 65th Avenue since spring 2017, when they started moving dirt. Construction is expected to continue throughout 2018. UCHealth officials anticipate the campus, which will house both Greeley Hospital and Greeley Medical Center, will open in spring/summer 2019.

Spanning approximately 200,000 square feet, the hospital will include 53 inpatient beds with room to grow. It will include a birth center, intensive care unit, operating and endoscopy rooms, a Level III trauma center and an emergency department.

The new UCHealth Greeley Medical Center will be a 112,500-square-foot outpatient medical center that will bring many of the services UCHealth offers at locations throughout Greeley under one convenient roof. It will include primary care services, specialty clinics, diagnostics, pharmacy, endoscopy, oncology services, imaging and laboratory services.
