Annual gynecologic exams

Because a gynecologic exam is a personal experience, we know how important it is to find a medical provider you feel comfortable with. At UCHealth, you can choose to schedule an exam with a gynecologist, nurse practitioner or certified nurse midwife. All of our gynecology professionals provide the sensitive, confidential and high-quality care you deserve—allowing enough time for a complete examination and for you to discuss all of your questions and concerns.

Tests performed by your UCHealth provider during an annual exam include a Pap smear and pelvic and breast exam, plus other tests as needed. He or she may also discuss birth control options, menopausal symptoms, sexual health, diet and exercise and other topics, depending on your stage of life and personal needs.

Gynecological surgery specialists

When surgery is required, you can count on the expertise of the gynecologic surgeons at UCHealth. We treat conditions such as urinary incontinence, infertility, endometriosis, pelvic mass, chronic pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding and pelvic prolapse, as well as uterine, ovarian and cervical cancers.

Some of our advanced, minimally invasive gynecological surgery options include:

  • Cystoscopy/urology
  • Dilatation and curettage (D & C)
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Pelvic laparoscopy (pelviscopy)
  • Robotic surgery
