Designations and awards
UCHealth – Medical Center of the Rockies is designated as a Baby-Friendly hospital. These hospitals have created the best possible environment for mothers to successfully breastfeed their babies and follow the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding as set forth by the Baby-Friendly Initiative. The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative is a global initiative of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Childrens Fund.
Medical Center of the Rockies is one of the few hospitals in the state to earn Magnet designation. The Magnet designation recognizes excellence in nursing services and is considered the gold standard in nursing practice.
Tours are offered weekly, alternating between Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
