At the UCHealth Center for Midwifery, we care for the low-risk woman throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond. Our goal is to help you realize the birth experience you envision in a supportive, caring environment.

We care for women and families throughout their prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum period. Our goal is to help you achieve the birth experience you envision in a supportive, caring environment through a partnership with our midwives and staff.

We strive to give you the most updated information and comprehensive care to facilitate an empowering labor and birth experience through high touch, personalized care.

Our Center for Midwifery providers deliver babies at the Highlands Ranch Hospital Birth Center.

Expertise

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) are experts in pregnancy and birth using evidence-based approaches within a nurturing supportive environment. CNMs can provide care to all women throughout their lifetimes.

All of our CNMs hold at least a master’s degree and are board certified.

Our approach and supportive options

Our midwives focus on the natural, healthy aspects of women’s care and work with you to decide what is right for you, including:

Natural childbirth with or without pain medicine such as epidural anesthesia or intravenous pain relief.

Nitrous oxide, also called “laughing gas,” for labor. This colorless, odorless and tasteless gas can decrease pain. We were the first and one of the only hospitals in the region to offer this option.
