Natural childbirth with or without pain medicine such as epidural anesthesia or intravenous pain relief.
Nitrous oxide, also called “laughing gas” for labor. This colorless, odorless and tasteless gas can decrease pain. We were the first and one of the only hospitals in the region to offer this option.
Complementary and alternative healing options through collaboration with other University of Colorado Hospital specialists and partner services, including:
- Prenatal massage
- Chiropractic
- Acupuncture
- Herbal therapies
- Aromatherapy
- Doula support services
- Childbirth education
- Lactation consultation
Check with your insurance company to see if your plan covers these services.
Water births for the experience of calmness and relaxation in a birth pool or tub. We are one of the few facilities in the region to offer water births.
