CDC reports that infections from "C. diff" are on the rise

A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports nearly half a million Americans suffer from clostridium difficile – more commonly known as “C. diff” – infections every year. The CDC says infections have been on the rise. “It can be in schools, doctors’ offices, so there is definitely some cleansing that needs to be done when someone is positive for that,” said Dr. Ian Tullberg with Memorial Hospital Urgent Care.
