Nurse practitioner Megan Auer recently joined Colorado Health Medical Group and the family medicine team at Cheyenne Medical Specialists, 5050 Powderhouse Road.

Auer maintains a passion for community nursing, and throughout her career has served as a school nurse, health teacher and internal medicine nurse. As a certified family nurse practitioner, she is grateful to be part of a profession of caring.

“I value evidence-based and cost-effective health care with a focus on the unique patient and his or her own personal beliefs and experience across the lifespan,” she said. “I see it as an honor that patients allow me to be a part of improving and maintaining their health.”

Auer is especially interested in prevention, screening and treatment. She’s also interested in caring for patients with chronic conditions, including hypertension, COPD, asthma, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, anxiety and obesity.

She earned a master’s degree in science from University of Northern Colorado.
