Electronic Medical Records Provide Better Organization, Patient Care and Cost Benefits

Hospital patients have better access to their health records and their doctors’ ears than ever before, thanks to the implementation of electronic health record systems. The UCHealth Internal Medicine Clinic in Greeley now uses the Epic electronic health record software to keep track of its patients’ information. Steve Hess, chief information officer for UCHealth, said the hospital system has more than 75,000 patients enrolled with My Health Connection, with more than 3,700 new patients enrolling each month.
