I implement a patient-centered approach to clinical care, focusing on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of well-being. Applying this comprehensive approach, I strive to provide expert medical treatment for all urologic malignancies, including prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer.

A Canadian from the Pacific Northwest, I maintain an active and outdoorsy lifestyle. Additional interests include exploring new food and travel.

Clinical interest for patients

I provide medical management of urologic cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular) either alone or as part of a multidisciplinary team including urologists, radiation oncologists, and other members of our allied health staff.

Research interest for patients

My primary research interest is developing and participating in national and international clinical trials to try and provide additional options for my patients, including immunotherapy. Additionally, I’m interested in the molecular reasons for why certain cancers behave aggressively while others not, and how such findings might be applied clinically to help guide treatment decisions. Lastly, I’m interested in why a subset of testicular germ cell tumors are resistant to chemotherapy, and how survivorship care can be improved upon in men cured of this disease.
