Your consultation

When you meet with one of our specialists, you will discuss exactly what bothers you about your appearance. There are often many options available to correct a given problem. The changes you desire are most important, and these are discussed in terms of what are realistic and natural-appearing results.

Your specialist will take the time to answer all of your questions about a procedure or treatment.

Insurance

Insurance does not generally cover surgery that is done purely for cosmetic reasons. It is the patient’s responsibility to check with their insurance carrier for information on the degree of coverage.

Surgical services

Any surgery involves some degree of risk. Your surgeon wants you to be at ease, and is happy to answer any questions you have about any procedure – before, during, and after – you decide to undergo.

Rhinoplasty

We perform rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping surgery, to improve the appearance and function of the nose. There are many aspects of the nose that can be changed, including:

  • Hump
  • Nasal tip too bulbous
  • Nasal tip too projected
  • Upward or downward pointing nasal tip
  • Wide nasal tip
  • Wide nasal bridge

Whatever the reason for the procedure, the form and function of the nose are considered simultaneously. In every rhinoplasty we perform, our goal is to achieve a natural and aesthetically pleasing look, while preserving or improving the breathing function of the nose.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a procedure to rejuvenate the eyes by removing excess skin and fat from the eyelids. This helps to reduce the wrinkles around the eyes can remove the “bags” from the eyelids. A younger, firmer eye area is the result.

The best results, however, are achieved by utilizing multiple treatment modalities, such as blepharoplasty in combination with liposculpture and neuromodulator therapy. We can help you decide whether any additional, complementary procedures would increase the success of your surgery.

Browlift

Eyebrows descend with age. This can cause the eyes to appear tired or sad. The popular browlift procedure raises droopy eyebrows that can occur with aging. A browlift restores the eyebrows to their normal position and can dramatically rejuvenate the eyes! This procedure can be done in conjunction with blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), but great results can be obtained with a browlift alone.

Facelift

A youthful face contains smooth contours, even skin tones and ample volume.  As we age, fat and volume is lost, which can lead to wrinkles, creases and sagging skin. The neck skin sags too, forming jowls. Sun exposure, smoking and genetics play a role as well and can accelerate the aging process.

The cumulative effect is a transition from the heart-shaped face of youth to a more squared appearance with age.

Although commonly called a “facelift,” this procedure is more accurately a “lower face and neck lift.” A successful facelift removes excess skin and counteracts the downward effects of gravity.

Necklift/minilift

As the name may imply, the necklift or minilift addresses problems in the neck. Consequently, this procedure is not for everyone, and cannot replace a facelift for many people.  The necklift utilizes the part of the facelift incision that is behind the ear.  Therefore, there is only one direction of pull.

The necklift/minilift can be used to address the jowls, mild neck skin laxity and mild neck fat. When performed in the appropriate candidates, this procedure can produce very satisfying results.

Liposculpture

When we’re young, our facial contours are smooth, with gentle transitions from one area of the face to another. As we get older, our face loses volume, and creases begin to appear where none existed before.

In liposculpture, your own fatty tissue is used to replace the fat that was lost in aging. We remove fat cells from your abdomen and transfer them to the areas of the face to replace the lost volume.

Earlobe repair

Torn or elongated earlobes are common problems. Over the years, earrings can stretch the earlobes or elongate the piercing. As the earlobe piercing stretches, the tissue below it holding in the earring gets thinner and thinner. Eventually, only minimal trauma, such as catching an earring on a shirt, is necessary to completely tear through the lobe.

Our earlobe repair takes about 30 minutes and can be done with light sedation (although most people do not find this necessary). The sutures that are used will melt away, so there are no stitches to remove.

Nonsurgical services

Botox® and Dysport®

Botox® and Dysport® belong to a class of medications called neuromodulators, which are proteins that cause muscles to relax. Neuromodulators are a popular, very safe way to smooth facial wrinkles. In fact, Botox® and Dysport® are the most popular cosmetic treatments in the United States.

Only wrinkles formed by repetitive motion are affected by neuromodulators. Typical areas include frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead and the downturned corners of the mouth.

Laser hair removal

Liberate yourself from the constant need to shave and wax unwanted facial and body hair! With light-based permanent hair reduction, just a few simple treatments is all it takes to permanently minimize hair growth, revealing clear, smooth skin that’s ready to bare every day – and all year long.

We use light-based technology that targets and destroys hair cells responsible for hair growth without harming surrounding skin. We can remove hair from faces (except around the eyes), backs, chests, legs, arms, underarms, and bikini lines.

Treatments take just minutes for small areas, and about a half hour for larger areas. You can resume your regular daily activities immediately following your procedure. Several treatments are necessary for the best outcome.

Wrinkle fillers

As we age, our faces lose volume, and wrinkles begin to appear where none existed before. Soft tissue fillers are man-made products that are used to restore volume to the face. There are many different products on the market, each with advantages and disadvantages. Not all soft tissue fillers are created equal, and no product is ideal; nor can a single filler meet every patient’s wishes and expectations for local Denver and Lone Tree wrinkly treatments. However, these treatments are effective, and extremely popular. In 2010, over 1.7 million soft tissue filler treatments were performed in the United States.

LUX2940 skin resurfacing

Lux2940 Laser skin resurfacing is an extremely effective way to treat a variety of age and sun damage-related changes of the face.

The Lux2940 laser is a fractionated, ablational laser that delivers its energy to the water in the tissues, stimulating collagen production and removing the top layers of the skin. This allows the skin to tighten, giving way to a fresh, rejuvenated appearance.

LUX1540 skin resurfacing

Lux1540 Laser skin resurfacing is new technology that can achieve great results with very little downtime. The Lux1540 laser delivers its energy to the water in the tissues, stimulating collagen production while limiting amount of injury to the skin.

When light from the Lux1540 laser contacts the skin, energy is delivered in a gentle manner, which decreases the time it takes to heal the skin. Also, light is split up into many tiny microbeams. This leaves “islands” of skin unaffected by the laser, which also leads to fast healing.

Stretch mark treatment

Stretchmarks, also know as striae distensae, are scars in the dermis of the skin that arise when skin is rapidly stretched. The collagen and elastin fibers of the skin become thin and weak, leading to the characteristic appearance of stretchmarks. They occur more often in women and can result from many things, including rapid changes in weight, growth spurts and pregnancy.

In April 2010, the Lux1540 Laser received FDA approval for the treatment of stretchmarks. This new technology can make dramatic improvements in stretchmarks where many other treatments have failed.

Exfoliating peels

Peels have been around for many centuries. In ancient Egypt, Cleopatra used lactic acid in sour milk to exfoliate and rejuvenate her skin.

Since then chemical peels have evolved and become more sophisticated, but the main mode of action remains the same. Exfoliating peels use a chemical solution (such as lactic acid) to remove the damaged outer layers of your skin and improve its texture.

While results vary based on the type and strength of your peel, an exfoliating peel can:

  • Reduce fine lines, especially under the eyes and around the mouth
  • Correct mild scarring
  • Treat certain types of acne
  • Diminish sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, or blotchiness
  • Refresh and rejuvenate skin texture and color

A chemical peel typically takes 10 to 30 minutes. Treatment plans are individualized based on the type of peel and skin condition it is designed to treat.

Medical facials

We customize your one-hour medical facial at our clinic according to your individual skin type. Treatments consist of deep cleansing, an enzyme mask, superficial exfoliating peel and antioxidant therapy.
