The palliative medicine program at Memorial Hospital Central helps patients with pain and symptom management, maintaining quality of life, difficult decision-making and advance directives.
This service is available to hospitalized patients as well as outpatients in a clinic setting by appointment.
Our program strives to guide patients as they journey along the roller coaster that comes with serious illness of any type. We assist with medical management, clarifying goals of care, and helping patients and families understand complex medical treatments.
If you or your loved one are currently in the hospital and are interested in our services, ask your attending physician if a palliative medicine consult is right for you or your family member. If you or your loved one are not currently hospitalized, ask your primary care provider or any of your doctors about a referral to our palliative care clinic.
