FAQs of the Executive Health Program

Explore UCHealth’s Executive Health Program (EHP) through these frequently asked questions. Find out more by calling 720.848.2370.

How long will my Executive Health physical take?

Most physicals start at 7 a.m. and are completed by noon. However, your day may be shorter or longer, depending on your specific testing program. You also will receive all your test results that day.

Can I use my insurance for the Executive Health Program?

EHP is a fee-for-service program that works directly with individuals and corporations. We are not affiliated with any insurance carriers or Medicare. We do not bill or collect from any health insurance or managed care plan.

How much does an Executive Health physical cost?

Because the physical exam and tests are customized to your individual needs, costs vary. Before your appointment, we will quote a price.

What do I wear to my physical?

We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. For your treadmill stress test, bring athletic shoes.

Can I eat before my exam?

Please do not eat or drink anything except water for at least 12 hours before your appointment. After your blood is drawn for lab tests, we’ll provide you with a breakfast of your choice.

Will the physician I see for my Executive Health physical become my doctor?

EHP recommends that every participant have a personal primary care physician (PCP). If you don’t already have a PCP, we encourage you to establish a provider relationship with one. We can help you find an internal medicine or family practice doctor in the UCHealth system.

Why don’t I get a full body scan as part of the Executive Health Program?

Although full body scans have recently gained popularity, they have not been proven as a screening test. In addition, the scans can reveal false positives—items that are not significant. The frequency of such scans, as well as the levels of radiation exposure, remains a concern when recommending the tests. UCHealth has scanning technology and can use it when appropriate.

Can I get my prescription filled during my exam?

Our doctors may write a specific prescription, but in general, prescription medications should be managed by your primary care doctor.

How do I pay for the Executive Health Program?

You have three options: credit card, check, or through a corporate contract with your employer or company.

What if I have to cancel my visit?

To avoid penalties, please notify EHP of your cancellation at least 10 business days before your visit.

Are the results of my Executive Health appointment kept confidential?

We keep all of your medical information strictly confidential and will never be shared with anyone without your permission. You’ll receive a comprehensive test and health assessment results summary. With your written request, we’ll also send a copy of your results to your primary doctor or other specialists.

Do I need a referral from my doctor for the Executive Health Program?

No. EHP is a self-referral program. You can make an appointment directly with us.

Is the Executive Health Program only for executives?

Although it’s called an Executive Health Program, our personalized approach is appropriate for anyone who wants to take charge of their health efficiently and effectively.

“The Executive Health Program far exceeded my expectations. It is such a relief to have everything done at one time, including leaving with your results in hand. I would strongly recommend it to anyone that is serious about their health but has very little time on their hands. The staff is respectful and the facility is impressive.”
