Blood-pressure clinics
Drop-in blood pressure checks are available the following times and locations (excluding holidays):
- The 4th Monday of every month, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Chilson Senior Center in Loveland, 700 E. 4th Street.
- By appointment only, call 970.495.8560, Aspen Club at 1025 Garfield, Suite A, Fort Collins.
- The 4th Friday of every month, 10 to 11 a.m., Rodarte Center in Greeley, 920 A Street.
This is an opportunity to ask questions about basic health-related concerns and medications, get tips on healthy lifestyles and find community resources.

No appointments are necessary. You must ask for Direct Access Laboratory Services and pay at time of service. Please indicate your Aspen Club membership on the bottom of the form when getting lab work done.
Bone density screening
Bone density is measured in the heel using a special ultrasound test. Information is useful for identifying the risk of developing osteoporosis. There is a $12 fee.
Flu shots
Immunization clinics scheduled every fall for those on Medicare.
Healthy Heart screening
The UCHealth Healthy Hearts club provides a cardiovascular screening and stroke risk assessment that includes a blood pressure check, cholesterol screening and healthy lifestyle counseling. Suggested donation is $25.
Hearing screenings
Certified audiologists check for hearing loss and are available to answer questions about hearing aids. Offered in Loveland, Fort Collins, and Greeley.
Lung function tests
UCHealth respiratory care practices offer the pulmonary function test, which measures airflow in and out of your lungs. Offered in the fall at no cost.
Medication and supplement review
Meet with a knowledgeable pharmacist to review your medications for duplications, safety and possible adverse reactions.
Skin cancer screening
Each spring, local dermatologists provide this free screening as a community service. The purpose is to detect any unusual skin conditions, marks, moles, discoloration, and other skin abnormalities. Watch your newsletter for the date and registration information.
Glaucoma screenings
Tests the pressure in your eyes for glaucoma.

- Foot reflexology: 20-minute sessions that promote relaxation, stress reduction and pain relief.

Medicare counseling and assistance
As the Larimer & Weld counties Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), the Aspen Club provides trained counselors to answer your questions about:
- Medicare choices
- Supplemental insurance
- Prescription drug plans
- Medicare Advantage Plans, and
- Coordination with employer plans.

Caregiver education
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week class offered several times each year with helpful strategies for current and future caregivers. The Aspen Club also has resources that provide helpful caregiver tips and information about community resources.
Nutrition education and consultations
We offer classes on healthy eating to help various disease conditions, food safety, super foods, meal planning for one or two, and other nutrition-related topics. Watch your newsletter for these classes.
Learn more about any special dietary concerns you may have, plus information about healthy eating and meal planning with a “one-on-one” consultation. Fee is $30.

Education classes on end of life planning, and assistance completing forms such as:

Aspen Club members enjoy a 10 percent discount in the PVH and MCR cafeterias.
Information & referral
The Senior Services / Aspen Club program has information about hospital and community services and resources.
Legal and financial education classes
Financial, legal and estate planning workshops offered in partnership with the PVH and MCR Foundations.
Sidewalk Safety
Complimentary bags of “ice-melt” are available for members to use on slippery sidewalks around their homes. The goal of this program is to prevent falls. Salt is available November through February, or while supplies last.
Therapeutic mini-massage
This drop-in service is available at PVH, MCR and Greeley Medical Clinic with certified massage therapists. Ten-minute chair massages cost $10; a 20-minute chair massage costs $20. No appointments necessary.
AARP Driver Safety Program
Aspen Club is a co-sponsor of AARP Driver Safety classes. Participants may receive a discount on their automobile insurance premiums upon completing this class. Sessions are offered throughout the region.
Cost for AARP members is $15, Non-AARP members is $20.
