My approach to family medicine is centered on building deep, long-lasting relationships with my patients. I believe the best care starts with truly knowing the person in front of me and not just their medical history, but their family, career, hobbies, challenges, and what matters most to them. Guidelines and medical evidence are important, and so are an individual patient’s values, circumstances, and goals.
I want my patients to feel comfortable bringing any concern to me and to know that I will take it seriously. I believe strongly in open and honest communication, shared decision-making, and respecting each patient’s autonomy. My role is not simply to tell patients what to do, but to listen, educate, offer my best medical guidance, and work together as a team to develop a plan that makes sense for their lives.
I also believe medicine should be based on human connection. I try to bring openness, authenticity, vulnerability, and, when appropriate, humor into my relationships with patients. Some of the most meaningful parts of family medicine come from caring for people through different stages of their lives and getting to know the families and communities around them.
Ultimately, my goal is not simply to treat disease or improve numbers on a chart. It is to help each patient improve their health, well-being, and quality of life so they can spend more time doing the things they love and live an extraordinary life.
I am married to an occupational therapist, and together we have two sons. Family is a huge part of my life, and some of our favorite things to do together are hiking, building LEGO sets, playing board games, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
I have a lifelong love of the outdoors and adventure. Some of my favorite activities include mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking, whether on my own or sharing an adventure with friends and family.
When I’m not outside, I’m a longtime video game enthusiast, film buff, and music lover. I genuinely enjoy learning about what my patients are passionate about as well, whether that’s their families, careers, hobbies, or the things that simply bring them joy.

I enjoy the full spectrum of family medicine, caring for patients from childhood through every stage of adulthood and older age. I welcome patients ages 4 and older and enjoy the variety that comes with caring for individuals and families over time, from well-child and adolescent care to adult preventive medicine, acute concerns, and the complexities of healthy aging.
I have a particular passion for preventive care and helping patients identify opportunities to improve their health before problems arise. My clinical interests include behavioral and mental health, dermatology, musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and the prevention and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.
I especially enjoy working with patients to develop realistic, sustainable approaches to nutrition, physical activity, weight management, and other lifestyle changes. I believe that understanding each patient’s goals, priorities, family life, and individual circumstances is essential to developing a treatment plan that can meaningfully improve both long-term health and quality of life.
