As an internal medicine physician in the primary care setting, I am committed to building strong patient-physician relationships. Trust and open communication allow deeper understanding of my patients, and the ability to tailor care to their individual needs and goals. As a partner in my patient’s health journey, my job is to help them navigate complex medical systems and treatment options. Shared decision making is central to my management of chronic disease. By working together, we can align every patient’s care to their unique circumstances and achieve better outcomes.
Preventative care is a pillar of my practice. I firmly believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. By implementing regular screenings, health education and lifestyle counseling, I aim to prevent chronic diseases or detect them early before they cause lasting harm. This proactive approach allows patients to take control of their health and lead happier, healthier lives.
My wife (a general dentist) and I are Denver natives who attended Creighton University for undergraduate and graduate school. After a long absence from Colorado for our education and to practice in rural Iowa, we are excited to be returning home to raise our boys in the same beautiful setting we grew up in. When not at work, I am usually spending time with my children traveling, cooking, reading and enjoying the outdoors.
