My approach to patient care is collaborative and rooted in empathy, compassion and evidence-based medicine. I believe in treating the whole person, not just their medical conditions, and strive to build strong, trusting relationships with my patients.

I am originally from Colorado but was raised in New Mexico. I attended undergraduate school at the University of Colorado in Boulder and have been in Colorado since. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing. I worked for many years as a nurse in cardiology before returning to school for my master’s degree. I completed my master’s program as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at University of Colorado, Anschutz campus, in 2009. I have practiced cardiology in the Colorado Springs area since 2010. I am married with one stepson. I currently have two dogs who love to hike with us. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, yoga and reading.
