Dr. Reckard specializes in trauma surgery, acute care surgery and surgical critical care. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed his residency in general surgery at the VA Medical Center and Mercy Hospital Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Reckard completed his fellowship training in surgical critical care at the University of Michigan in Ann Harbor. Dr. Reckard also holds an MBA in medical group management from the University of St. Thomas, Graduate School of Business in Minneapolis. Dr. Reckard is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
