As a family nurse practitioner in primary care, my philosophy of care is grounded in establishing trusting relationships that serve as the foundation for meaningful, patient-centered care. I lead with empathy, recognizing each person’s unique story and health journey, and I strive to meet patients where they are—emotionally, physically and socially. I believe in partnering with individuals to reduce risk through education, prevention, and practical, evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific needs and life circumstances. My approach emphasizes creative problem-solving to overcome barriers to care, always with a focus on what is realistic and sustainable for the patient. Above all, I see myself as a patient advocate, committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and respected within the healthcare system.

I’m originally from California, but after living in Colorado for the past 10 years, it’s truly home. I worked as a nurse in Neuro/Trauma at a hospital in Denver for 7 years before moving to Fort Collins to start a family. Now, I have a 3-year-old son who keeps life busy and fun. In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, spending time at Horsetooth Reservoir—swimming, kayaking or just relaxing by the water—and brewing beer at home. I appreciate being outdoors, creating things with my hands, and staying connected to the people and activities that bring joy to my life.

Clinical interest for patients

I’m passionate about providing holistic, compassionate care across the lifespan, with a special focus on supporting children and families through all stages of development. I’m also deeply committed to working with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges, recognizing the importance of meeting patients where they are and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing. I believe in a collaborative, person-centered approach that emphasizes prevention, education, and advocacy to help patients navigate complex health needs and reach their goals.

Research interest for patients

My research interests center around non-pharmacological treatments with a focus on how they can complement traditional care. I’m particularly interested in exploring the mind-body connection and how lifestyle interventions, behavioral therapies and integrative approaches can improve outcomes for patients with neurological and mental health conditions. I also have a strong interest in public health, especially in addressing systemic barriers to care and promoting community-based solutions that support prevention, resilience, and long-term well-being.
