Patient care is a privilege. My role is to identify your condition and ensure you have a good understanding of this condition along with the risks and benefits of treatment options. Based on your care goals, we will work together to tailor the best treatment program to meet your needs. There is no “one size fits all” in medicine. I have spent the last ten years performing on the job training of residents and cardiology fellows in a major medical school hospital. I have stressed the importance of listening to and meeting the needs our patients. My job is to manage cardiovascular disease with diet, exercise, lifestyle modification and medications. I also know that despite my best efforts, some of my patients will require procedures or surgeries. My ultimate goal is to maximize your health, quality and functional abilities. The more you understand, the more successful you can be.
I have a great passion for my work. Teaching at a major medical school after successfully working in busy private practice settings have taken my skills to a high level. I really enjoy working with people and believe I have more to give back to my patients and the profession I love.
My family is very important to me. I have an amazing wife and daughter (Cecile and Maya). Cecile is retired from a career in biotech. Maya is completing graduate training in Public Health and Nutrition at John Hopkins. We are an active family that enjoys biking, hiking and skiing. I am also a swimmer. When indoors we are avid readers and enjoy the performing arts and sporting events. After the natural passing of our Golden Retriever, our pet lives remain full with our two Maine Coon cats (Boo and Lokie). We are a blessed family.
