I started my career in healthcare working as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit (ICU). This gave me an exceptional foundation to build upon. My experience in the ICU has driven me to shift my focus as a nurse practitioner to preventative care and chronic disease management. I work hard to provide patients with evidence based guidance and recommendations so they can make informed decisions about their health. I believe in shared decision making and establishing strong relationships with my patients.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. I love to exercise, golf, and attend concerts and sporting events. When able, I enjoy traveling both domestic and internationally. Recently, I was given the opportunity to travel to the country of Uganda in Central Africa to provide medical care. It is my hope to be able to return again in the future to provide care to those without medical facilities and healthcare access.
