Dr. Gause grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise sciences. She then completed her medical training at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina, including time spent training in hospitals throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and South Carolina. After completing her family medicine residency at the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency program, she completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Colorado in Aurora. More recently, she has spent time in rural Oregon as a nursing home physician and doing home visits for select homebound patients. All aspects of family medicine are inspiring to Dr. Gause, and her clinical interests within family medicine and geriatric medicine are dementia, frailty, falls, polypharmacy, medical education and healthy aging.
