Lloyd Strode Jr., D.O., is a primary care physician who favors lifestyle adjustments and the adoption of healthy diet and exercise over medication. Dr. Strode emphasizes a less is more attitude towards medications and unnecessary testing and focuses on the physical and mental function of the patient. He is a doctor of osteopathic medicine which means he regards the body as “a whole.” He is trained in osteopathic manipulations and trigger point injections which may be used to ease pain and promote healing within the body. He graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been practicing family medicine in hospital and private practice settings since 1979. Dr. Strode was named the Colorado DO family practitioner of the year in 1996. He was also recognized as a “Top Doc” in Colorado Springs Style magazine in 2012 and 2013. Dr. Strode joined UCHealth’s primary care network in January 2014.
