Her medical interests include maternal and child health care (before, during and after pregnancy), continuity of care in and out of the hospital, gestational diabetes and teaching full-spectrum family medicine. Outside of the hospital, she can often be found walking outside, attempting to garden, and hanging out with her cats, family and friends.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Laura Bertani studied medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, OH, taking additional time during her studies to complete a Fulbright Scholarship in Asuncion, Paraguay, studying ethics in health research. She completed residency training at Ventura County Medical Center, learning full-spectrum family medicine, followed by a fellowship in operative and high-risk obstetrics at Natividad in Salinas, CA. She continued to practice medicine in Salinas and King City, CA, caring for patients of all ages in and out of the hospital before making her way to Fort Collins.
