I strive to treat the whole patient; mind, body and spirit when it comes to practicing medicine. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and forming genuine connections, not only with patients, but people who are also important to those patients. I make it a goal with each patient encounter to make sure they well educated on all aspects of their health care and are able to participate in shared decision-making during the process. I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, quality, and patient-centered care to chronically and acutely ill patients. I have a passion for patient education and have a commitment to remaining up-to-date with the most current evidence-based practices in medicine.
I was born and raised in the rural mid-west on a farm. I attended undergrad at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO where I earned a B.S. in Biology. Prior to attending Physician Assistant school I was a CNA for 3 years working both in long-term care and later transitioning to acute care at a critical access hospital in rural Missouri. I attended Physician Assistant school at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. Since graduation I have worked both as a PA in hospital medicine as well as in emergency medicine. In July 2024, I married my long-time partner and we are excited to call Colorado home. We have two cats. I love spending time outdoors, traveling, reading, going to local farmers markets/restaurants, and volunteering in my community.
