My approach to patient care is to understand the patient—who they are, what their values are, and what their goals are—to then make a decision together to address their health concerns. I enjoy helping people regain or maintain an active lifestyle.
I have had the privilege and joy of being the head team physician for Montana State University athletics, as well as a team physician for Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the Carolina Thunderbirds (a hockey team in the Federal Hockey League) and several high schools in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Montana.
I received a master’s and bachelor’s in biomedical engineering from Drexel University. I attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. I then completed family medicine residency in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with Penn Medicine-Lancaster General Health and a primary care sports medicine fellowship with Wake Forest University/Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I am board certified in family medicine and have a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.
I cherish time with my wife and our two young children. My hobbies include playing ice hockey, fishing (fly, ice and spin!), hunting and woodworking.

My interests in sports medicine include sports-related concussion and management of medical conditions in athletes. I perform ultrasound-guided injections of small and large joints. I enjoy working closely with colleagues in orthopedic surgery, physical therapy and athletic training to treat musculoskeletal and sports-related concerns to allow safe and timely return to play and activity. As a family physician, I enjoy managing acute and chronic medical issues across the spectrum of primary care.
