I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. I have a passion for helping people set goals, obtain their goals, and become the best possible versions of themselves. I utilize an eclectic approach to care by combining various aspects of solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to develop individualized treatment plans for my patients. Some of the mental health conditions I feel most comfortable working with include: addiction, anxiety, anger management, chronic pain, chronic illness, depression, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harming, sleep or insomnia, stress, substance use/abuse, and suicidal ideations. I have 5+ years experience in the field of mental health and have worked in settings to include: a psychological services clinic, integrated care, the emergency room, inpatient mental health, and residential treatment. It is my hope that by bringing positivity and collaborative care to the therapeutic setting that I can help to reduce the stigma around mental health, as mental health is health.
While I wasn’t born here, I do consider myself to be a Northern Colorado native. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, our two dogs (Yorkshire Terrier & Golden Retriever), family, and friends. I can find comfort in a quiet day at home or outdoor adventure. Some of my hobbies include: shopping, crafts, catching up on my favorite shows, golfing, archery, paddle-boarding, spending time at the lake(s), baking, and traveling. I believe in life-long learning and strive to gain knowledge through both mine own experiences and those of others around me.
