James P. Duffey, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has practiced in Colorado Springs since 1995. He completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and attended medical school at the University of Arizona. After a surgical internship at the University of California, San Francisco, he returned to the University of Arizona for his orthopedic training.

Dr. Duffey is accomplished in arthroscopic treatment of both simple and complex sports injuries and has considerable experience and expertise in arthritis surgery and total joint replacement of knees, hips and shoulders. For more than a decade, he has used computer-assisted surgery and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Duffey is active in sports medicine for all ages and levels, from youth to professionals. He is also happy to see the aging athlete and weekend warrior, as he is one himself.
