My patient care approach emphasizes a Shared Decision-Making model of care. I focus on educating my patients on their specific medical conditions, how they occur and what can be done to treat them. Together, we then devise an individualized treatment plan that will appropriately manage these conditions while also taking into consideration the unique needs of each patient. The goal is to create a collaborative approach to care with my patients such that they are appropriately invested in their own medical care, thereby maximizing adherence to the treatment plan chosen.
Originally from the Central Michigan area, my wife and I have three children. We enjoy outdoor activities, like hiking and biking, but we also enjoy a good TV series or movie, as well. I am passionate about fitness and I believe in the CrossFit model of fitness which is defined as “constantly varied, functional movements done at a high intensity.”

I emphasize and encourage patients to utilize exercise and proper nutrition as a form of disease prevention. I am also passionate about sports medicine. I enjoy educating athletes about injury prevention, and also working with them to treat their injuries so that they can return to competition as quickly and safely as possible.
