Della has over 25 years of health care experience, providing her with a unique understanding of patient realities, and drives her continued commitment to prioritizing compassionate, patient-centered care. As an RN, she cared for patients in both hospital-based and clinic settings including psychiatry, medical/surgical departments, women’s health, and internal medicine for 15 years before earning a Master’s in Nursing with Family Practice emphasis in 2007. As a nurse practitioner, Della has provided care in community health and school based clinics, private family practice, addiction medicine, and Urgent Care. She has practiced with UCHealth Urgent Care since 2013, and is happy to now offer expanded health care access in the Virtual Urgent Care.

Della enjoys staying active and healthy with yoga, and also hiking or mountain biking with her husband, daughter and two dogs.

Della has a special interest in patient advocacy and women's health. She has received professional certifications in forensic nursing, sexual trauma, lactation consultant, and addiction treatment. She has participated in medical missions to Senegal and Venezuela, and volunteered for Project Cure.
