As a patient, finding the right specialist can be a challenging experience. One of my primary goals as a vascular surgeon is to provide my patients and their families with knowledge and understanding of their condition, so that I can help them make informed decisions that are right for them. The best care that I can provide as a physician comes from listening to my patients, learning from them, and seeing them as more than their diagnoses but as people. From this perspective I can offer an individualized approach, and guide my patients through what may be a very difficult time in their lives.

I have been trained in the medical and surgical aspects of vascular surgery. Surgical options include both traditional (open) as well as minimally invasive (endovascular) techniques. I believe it is crucial to be able to offer patients a variety of options, and to be able to tailor these to each individual person. However, knowing when not to operate and pursue medical management is just as important. Vascular health is often a life-long process, and I enjoy establishing continuity and relationships with my patients rooted in trust and mutual respect.

I was born in Merida, Venezuela and raised in Denver, Colorado. Outside of work I enjoy yoga, the outdoors, and spending time with my husband and dog.
