My approach to care centers on offering every patient compassion, respect and dignity, alongside thorough, evidence-based treatment. I value actively listening to patients, understanding their unique concerns, and ensuring they feel acknowledged and cared for. In the fields of pulmonary and critical care, I recognize that both patients and their families often face stressful and challenging circumstances, so I emphasize honest communication, cohesive teamwork, and maintaining a calm and reassuring presence. Ultimately, my aim is to deliver safe and excellent care, earn trust, and support patients in reaching the best outcomes possible.

I am originally from Maine and excited to be starting this next chapter in pulmonary and critical care. I started my nursing career working as a CNA in the float pool before becoming an RN and spending the next 10 years in the ICU. Now, as I step into my NP role, I bring that strong critical care background with me. I am double board-certified as both an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner, which reflects my commitment to continued learning and providing high-quality patient care. My journey has given me a deep appreciation for teamwork, compassion, and growth. Outside of work, I love to travel and have been to 13 countries so far, and I hope to continue exploring more of the world in the future. Traveling has given me valuable experiences and a greater appreciation for different people, cultures, and perspectives. I also enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and paddleboarding. My father served in the military for 22 years, which gave me an early appreciation for service, dedication and resilience.

Clinical interest for patients

My clinical interests are in pulmonary and critical care. My time in the neuro trauma ICU really shaped my passion for helping patients through serious illness and recovery. I enjoy being part of the process of helping people get better and supporting patients and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives. I also really value the teamwork that comes with critical care and am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Research interest for patients

My research interests include quality improvement and evidence-based practice, particularly in pulmonary and critical care. My Doctor of Nursing Practice project focused on identifying and treating pain in intubated patients to help support earlier extubation. Through that work, I developed a strong interest in clinical practice changes that improve patient outcomes, promote comfort and enhance the care of critically ill patients.
