The Multidisciplinary Clinic (MDC) experience
The “multidisciplinary approach” is a long-established protocol at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in metro Denver. The MDC approach provides patients with the most current, effective, and evidence-based treatments in a single-day appointment.
For patients requiring the input of multiple different treatment experts, our clinic offers a rapid, convenient “one stop shop.” Once you are referred to our clinic, specialists review your laboratory and radiologic tests – and order new tests, if indicated. After providing a thorough history and getting a physical examination, your case is presented to the multidisciplinary team, who will design an individualized plan with you.
We offer advanced diagnostic tests and treatment options such as onsite molecular testing, thyroid surgeries for locally advanced cancer, active surveillance of small papillary thyroid cancers, ethanol and radiofrequency ablation (RFA), external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), and neoadjuvant therapy for advanced cancer.
