Infant/toddler
- Absence of listening to speech and making cooing sounds by 3 months
- Absence of babbling (tatata, bababa, etc.) and attending to environmental sounds
- Absence of words by 18 months
- Absence of two-word phrases that have a message by 2 years
- Undeveloped play skills
Elementary & older
- Inappropriate pitch, volume, rate, resonance of voice for child’s age
- Word-finding problems
- Stuttering
