Compassionate care that exceeds expectations.

UCHealth pulmonary specialists provide skilled, compassionate care and use the latest proven techniques to diagnose and treat a broad range of respiratory conditions. It is our privilege to care for you in our clinic, conveniently located in the medical office building next to UCHealth Pikes Peak Regional Hospital.

We look forward to hearing from you to schedule an appointment or answer any questions you have about our providers or services.

Services we provide

Bronchoscopy. This procedure is performed to examine the airways and diagnose any lung problems.

Thoracentesis. A thoracentesis removes any excess fluid from the plural space between the lungs and the chest wall.

Endobronchial ultrasound. An endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) is a relatively new procedure. It allows physicians, through ultrasound guidance, to perform needle aspirations to enlarged lymph nodes using a bronchoscope inserted through the mouth. Samples taken during an EBUS can be used to diagnose cancer or other diseases that can affect the lungs.

Pulmonary function test. Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) are breathing tests to find out how much air your lungs can hold, how well you move air in and out of your lungs, how well oxygen enters your body, and how well your lungs remove carbon dioxide from your blood.

Sleep study. Your physician might order a sleep study (polysomnography) to diagnose sleep disorders. The sleep study usually records brain wave activity, heart rate and breathing, eye and muscle movement, and oxygen levels in the blood. At times an electrocardiogram (ECG) will be used to record the electrical activity in the heart.
