CeDAR is the Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation, a division of UCHealth. We were founded in November 2005 and remain one of the region’s premier substance use and co-occurring mental health providers for residential and outpatient treatment. At CeDAR, we treat addiction using a chronic care model, providing levels of care that can last for up to two years.
CeDAR is integrated to University of Colorado Hospital, a nationally-ranked academic medical center affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. This partnership allows us to work with one of the top teaching hospitals in the country to develop, implement and continually advance highly specialized, multi-disciplinary treatment approaches.
Innovation, in combination with traditional treatment programs, gives our patients the best chance for long-term sobriety.
Using a chronic care model for treatment of addiction, CeDAR provides a full continuum of care including:
- Intake and addiction assessment
- Medically managed detoxification and stabilization
- Intensive residential treatment
- Extended residential extended care
- Intensive outpatient treatment
- Outpatient counseling
- Addiction psychiatry
- Integrated addiction medicine and primary care
- Recovery management and support services
- Follow-up assessments for one year after discharge
CeDAR has outpatient services in both Denver and Boulder. Our new Boulder facility is part of the UCHealth Boulder Health Center and provides addiction psychiatry, addiction medicine and outpatient counseling for the Boulder County community.
