Hit the Mitt for charity.
Hit the Mitt is back for its seventh season and is kicking off a new addition to the charity activation. Per tradition, if a Rockies player hits the Hit the Mitt target in left field, UCHealth will make a $5,000 donation (via the Colorado Rockies Foundation) to Next Chapter, a program that provides comprehensive behavioral health services to veterans and their families in Colorado. As a new addition, if a Rockies player hits a home run into the left-field tunnel, UCHealth will also make a $5,000 donation. UCHealth will track the accumulating donations and present a check to Next Chapter at the end of the 2024 season.
