Dr. Hartman graduated from University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his general surgery training at the University of Colorado Department of Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and trained in DaVinci Robotic Surgery and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques.

Dr. Hartman has expertise in:

  • DaVinci Robotic Surgery and laparoscopic surgery for hernia repair and other abdominal surgery.

  • Skin cancer, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, colon cancer and abdominal tumors, breast cancer, port placement and removal, palliative procedures such as pleural catheters, abdominal catheters, and nutritional access. Dr. Hartman regularly participates in multidisciplinary tumor board for optimization of comprehensive cancer care.

  • Spine access and exposure.

  • Upper and lower endoscopy and bronchoscopy.

  • Trauma care.

  • Complex multidisciplinary surgical cases partnering with other specialties such as urology, OB/GYN, plastics, and ENT.
