Every patient that is being cared for should be given the utmost highest level of care. In order to provide the highest level of care the patient needs to be heard and the time provided to the patient should not be cut short. All of their their questions and concerns should be answered to the fullest. They should be able to fully understand their injury and treatment plan. As providers we are to be educators of our patient’s health. All treatment plans should be determined based on evidence based medicine. The most up to date literature should be utilized to formulate their treatment plan. As the patient should always have the say to their care and their wishes; it is our responsibility as providers to not only recommend the best diagnostic and treatment plans, but allow the patient to feel comfortable and confident that they have made the right decision.
