My approach is a blend of holistic and evidence-based therapies that combine mindfulness strategies with acceptance and behavioral change techniques that promote psychological flexibility, the cornerstone of health necessary for well-being. Everyone struggles in the face of adversity and we all need support at different times in our lives. I’m an experienced trauma therapist and addictions counselor with a brain-wise approach to therapy that recognizes the innate capacity for growth and adaptation in all of us. I believe that therapy should be pragmatic and efficient. I focus on cultivating strengths, fostering resilience and empowering patients to lead meaningful lives aligned with their values and purpose.
I like to bring humor and play into session, because it’s actually good therapy! We master new skills much more quickly when we learn through play. I have a big and curious heart. I love art, music and movies. I read a lot, collect quotes and geek out on neuroscience about trauma and the brain. I’m also a fiber artist. Originally from the East Coast, I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 30 years. My family and I enjoy spending time in the mountains and being active outdoors.
