My philosophy of care is centered on the fundamentals of incorporating evidence-based medicine with the individual needs of the patient. I believe that it is important that the patient be actively involved in their healthcare decisions. I feel that sound and reliable education are foundational for long-term positive health outcomes. I strive to use shared medical decision making to help patients understand their options for medical management. In doing this, it is my hope that patients can make long-term lifestyle modifications to drive their own health outcomes and be their own best advocates.
I enjoy spending time with my family. When not at work you can typically find us at a local park. library, or enjoying the outdoors. I also enjoy teaching science classes at local colleges and helping to positively influence the next generation of healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
