Anesthesiology is a field of medicine with complex array of considerations, despite the fact that its practice appears similar externally. As an anesthesiologist, I assess each patient specifically for their own needs, based not only on their medical history, but their goals for their care as well. In every case, my priority is that to the safety and satisfaction of my patient. I identify these issues in the preoperative assessment and also take time to explain what anesthetic choices my patient’s have. I use this information to design a plan that will achieve the patient’s communicated goals. I think a successful anesthetic, therefore, is one that incorporates this individual approach while also adhering to the standards established by the anesthesia community at large. Maintaining a firm clinical practice as well as a dedicated continuing education routine is vital to my achievement of this standard.

I am a native Coloradan, growing up in Longmont to the North. I spent about a decade in Texas, where I met my wife and we started a family. I completed my medical training in Galveston, Texas and residency in San Antonio, Texas. We eventually made the decision to escape the heat of Texas and relocate to Colorado to take in the immense natural beauty. We plan on residing here for the long term. I enjoy running, spending time with my family, traveling, and collecting Legos.
